Terms of service

1. Agreement

By playing Cluck Point or using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, the remedy is simple and free: do not play. These terms cover the game on every platform it ships on and the services behind it.

2. The service

Cluck Point is a single player game. The core of it runs entirely on your device and works with no connection at all. An optional online service holds accounts, coins and gems, so they can survive a reinstall and follow you to a new device.

3. Free to play, nothing to buy

The game is free. It contains no advertising, no purchases and no subscriptions. If a shop ever opens, these terms will be updated before it does, and nothing will be sold to you under terms you have not seen.

4. Coins and gems

Coins and gems are play money. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed, and exist purely inside the game. Daily earning caps apply and are enforced by the server.

Balances are a record we keep for you, not property you own. We will treat them with care, and the ledger behind them is append only precisely so they do not go missing, but they are not a wallet in any financial sense.

5. Fair play

The reward system trusts your device to report one honest number. Meeting that trust with a script is abuse. Do not automate play, tamper with requests, exploit bugs for rewards, or otherwise farm the faucet. We may correct balances, suspend accounts or ban devices where we see it, and given that the currency buys nothing, it would also be a strange hobby.

6. Accounts

Accounts are optional and can be created with Google, with Apple, or with an email address where that option is enabled. You are responsible for the credentials you sign in with. One sign in method makes one account: a purse created with Google and a purse created with Apple are two purses, and we cannot honestly join them, especially where a relay email address is involved.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the game. Deletion is immediate and removes the account, the wallet and the ledger.

7. Display names and pictures

You can set a display name and a picture. Keep them decent. We may reset a name or picture that is offensive, misleading or unlawful, and repeat offence is grounds for a ban.

8. Intellectual property

The game, this website, the hen, the yard, the code that draws them and the sounds that accompany them belong to the developer of Cluck Point. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them. Screenshots, recordings and videos of your own play are yours to share wherever you like.

9. Third party services

Signing in with Google or Apple involves those companies and is governed by their terms as well as ours. App stores that distribute the game have their own terms too. We are not responsible for third party services.

10. Availability

The online service may change, pause or end. We do not promise it will exist forever, only that the game itself will keep playing without it, because it was built that way from the start.

11. No warranties

The game and the service are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. A hen is involved. We make no promises about her judgement or yours.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the game or the service, including lost coins, lost gems, lost streaks or lost pride. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will be called out in the app before they apply to you. Continuing to play after that is acceptance.
